Leah LeGette
Educational Program Executive
My name is Leah Le’Gette, and I am proud to be an Upper Elementary School Teacher at Cumberland County Christian School. I am originally from Philadelphia, where I attended Moore College of Art and design and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Art. I later moved to Williamstown, New Jersey where I earned a certificate in Early Childhood Education. I have 14 years of experience as an educator and this is my eighth year as a teacher at Cumberland County Christian School.
I have a true passion for working with children! I enjoy helping each child progress in all areas of their development, including academic, social, language, and motor skills. This is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. My goal is to develop a community of learners that ensures a positive, fun environment.
I have a strong family history of educators, starting from my grandmother, mother, four of my siblings, as well as my daughter. I am a single parent of three beautiful daughters and a grandmother of three amazing grandchildren. I am blessed to have a daughter with autism which gives me first-hand experience working with special needs. This gives me an advantage in the classroom, where I understand that we all learn differently. My hobbies include art, history, singing, dancing, and a multitude of various craft-making. Overall, I am most passionate about my job as an educator and helping children reach their highest potential.
