Jennifer Kelly
Head of Academic Innovation
My name is Jennifer M. Kelly, I am an Administrator and EC Interventionist at Cumberland County Christian School. I am a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. My educational background includes; a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies and a Master of Education in Special Education. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership: Special Education. I have over 15 years of experience working in both public and private schools, all of which include working with children with a variety of developmental delays and disabilities, as well as non-disabled learners.
Throughout the years, I have developed an incredible interest and understanding for children with exceptionalities, commonly known as “special needs.” I am a missionary who has worked with children and adults of all ages in many countries and states, including Colorado, Belize, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Argentina, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and other locations; teaching and witnessing the gospel of Jesus Christ. If I were to characterize myself into two words, these would be passionate and creative. My pedagogical perspective is that each child is unique and needs a challenging educational environment to develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.
It is my goal to establish an environment where students can reach their maximum potential. I believe that while not all children learn in the same way, they all can learn. I believe that it is the teacher’s obligation to analyze and discover how students learn so that all learners can gain academically from instruction. Learning never stops; it evolves. “If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are willing to learn, no one can stop you.” – Zig Ziglar. What I enjoy most about teaching is the daily opportunity to have a positive, life-changing impact on students academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
